Your School Games
The School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport.
The Games are made up of four levels of activity: competition in schools, between schools, at county/area level and a national finals event:
• Level 1 - sporting competition for all students in school through intra-school competition
• Level 2 - individuals and teams are selected to represent their schools in local inter-school competitions
• Level 3 – the county/area will stage multi-sport School Games festivals as a culmination of year-round school sport competition
• Level 4 – the Sainsbury's School Games finals: a national multi-sport event where the most talented young people in the UK will be selected to compete in our sporting venues (including the Olympic Park in 2012).

Sportivate
The programme is aimed at those who are not currently choosing to participate in sport in their own time, or are doing so for a very limited amount of time, and will support them to continue playing sport in their community after the six weeks is up. During the six weeks a participant may work towards an event or personal challenge.
Sportivate will be fully inclusive and target participants across this group, including young people who have a disability, both males and females and participants from BME groups
We are currently running a midnight league on a Friday evening, which currently targets participants from BME groups from ages 14-25 across Burnley. Contact your School Games Organiser for more information.
Change 4 life
The Change4Life team are big fans and say "The Promoting Activity toolkit is a great way to bring the Change4Life movement to life in your area. It's the most useful, practical set of tools for promoting activity that we know of."
A big thank you is due to the Sport England research team, as a lot of this toolkit relies on the fantastic work they have done over the past years.
