Tuesday 22nd September saw the second girls rugby roadshow day hosted at Burnley Rugby Club. 

Funded in conjunction with the RFUW and School Sports Partnerships, girls from years 8,9 and 10, from across the Burnley and Pendle area were invited to attend for an afternoons introduction to rugby.

Almost 40 girls from 4 different schools attended, and showed some fantastic potential for what was in the main their first experience of playing rugby!

A huge well done to Fishermoore, Pendle Vale, Primet and Park girls, and thank you to their teachers for the ongoing support!

What Next…..
Having successfully completed the roadshow afternoon, the girls have all had invitations to attend the club based sessions which will be running on Mondays from 630pm. The first being on Monday 28th September at Burnley Rugby Club.

Sessions will rotate between Burnley and Colne & Nelson to minimize the transportation burden on parents.

The girls are also working with the U15 merit league for the area, to enable them to look forward to undertaking some friendly fixtures with similar teams.
