Event: Year 5 & 6 Tag Rugby Festival

The annual tag rugby competition was held on Tuesday 13th October 2009. The event was coordinated and delivered by the Partnership and the community Rugby Coach – Elaine Vassie.

14 schools took part in the event and St Joseph’s managed to regain the trophy after also winning the competition last year.

St Joseph’s will know take part in the county final which will be held after Christmas, here they will represent Burnley and compete against schools from 13 other Boroughs of Lancashire.

The partnership would like to thank Burnley Rugby Club for hosting the event and also Elaine and her team of volunteers for officiating and the delivery of the event on the day.
