Shuttleworth students were celebrating today with the arrival of their 20 new bikes, safety and maintenance equipment . Funded and supported by the Burnley School Sport Partnership and Lancashire County Council as part of the 'Burnley Cycling Project' . Many thanks to Lancashire County Council (LCC) Cycling Officers Caroline Holden and Alistair Simpson who helped Shuttleworth receive these bikes.
The 'Burnley Cycling Project' has an overall aim of increasing cycling opportunites and increasing cycling pathways within the Burnley and Padiham Borough. The Burnley School Sport Partnership is working with LCC to provide all secondary Schools with a pool of bikes to increase Sport & Physical Activity to help meet the '5 hour offer' within Physical Education.
