Lancashire County Council is running a competition for all primary and secondary schools in the district of Burnley

The Padiham Greenway and The Canal Towpath Link are due to open this year (2010) and with the wide network of Greenways in the district, we need a logo to promote the ‘Burnley - Padiham Greenways’. For this we need students help.

The primary and senior school winners will each be awarded a bicycle (donated by Halfords on Active Way, Burnley). The winners will also receive a ‘Cycling in Lancashire’ T-shirt

The winning logo from the two selected will have their design adopted as the logo for the Padiham - Burnley Greenways and it will be used on their publicity materials and literature.

What you need to do
Include your name and year group on your submission and hand it to your form tutor or drop it into the Sports Partnership office on the Kiddrow lane site.

Schools must submit their entries by 15th March 2010 with the judging taking place on or before 31st March 2010, winners will be notified by this date.

The winning design may be tailored by Lancashire County Council to ensure it can be used effectively.
